Fictional Live Tweeting – #downwithrain

There’s a strange protest on the Hobart waterfront – a couple of hundred people have bunkered down to offer silent vigil against the whims and vicissitudes of fortune brought about by the weather. Where has this come from? Is there something personal at the heart of this rally? What happens as the weather begins to respond?

On this Wednesday night (the 20th) at 8pm Eastern Time, Michael Blake (@blakesauces), Neika Lehman (@neika_lehman) and I will be live tweeting a fictional event under the hashtag #downwithrain.

This is the second collaborative project I’ve been involved with as part of this residency, and it looks like being fascinating, if mildly chaotic. We’ve got a loose narrative structure, but all the text will be completely improvised.

We completely welcome others getting involved to help us give a rounded perspective on this significant fictional event, and we’ll aim to shape the narrative somewhat according to your contributions.

Hope to see you there.
